Are Watches really worth buying

 Anyone deep into art may observe a good watch actually, watches tell more than time, it says look at a work of art especially automatic watches , I will really not go describing a patek or Jlc watch , I want to bring it down a bit to a lesser watch , like take for example a Sturhling automatic watch . I have come across several sturhling automatic watches and I must say , there is a great work of art on some of their dials and yes their automatic movement , most of my customers who own Sturhling watches are financially stable , so I know something must have drawn them to the watch brand , for me its their design and automatic movements, I’m seeing someone who decided to craft out a specific design where you can easily detect it’s a Sturhling brand and yet breathtaking, I sense in the watch community it’s not really rated but then 1999 is a long year aswell, if you really want to see the movement and wheels of a watch one of the Sturhling designs can give you and add a bit of sophistication to watchmaking , Sturhling watch is worth it , why am I picking it ? Cause we seem to focus on the bosses of watches , which is very ok and we know they are worth it more, in terms of good heritage in watchmaking , they’ve come a long way too and it’s a great fortune owning them aswell .

If you think owning a watch isn’t worth it, then give it a second thought considering the fact that a client once brought his seiko solar watches and citizen eco drive watches to me, to sell them all, fifteen in all , sold 13 out of them at a very good price , I really do advise people to get good watches , incase they may need to sell them again . Have sold Rolex preowned watches, breitling , bvlgari , omega  for people who are in need of money and I’ve met people who buy these watches bring them for servicing , keeping it for their kids for the future , a customer once brought 5 longines watches for repair and said once his son gets into the university he would give him 2 out of it, same with a customer , who cause she saw her dad’s collection of longines watches, she in return gets only longines watches aswell , for longines , I often tell people , it’s just a way to keep the watch tradition of a family going , cause I’ve met customers who brought their late dad’s longines for repair aswell. 

Good watches are worth buying and keeping , there is no lie about that .

A test to know if I truly know a genuine watch

 Few years ago , I got a call from a guy who I didn’t know at that time was into watches big time , he decided to come see me , about some of his watches , I didn’t know he came to test my ability and to know if I recognized good watches .He came with a clone Rolex watch at first. Seeing the watch I was skeptical, my very first time meeting a clone watch , it looked exactly like a real Rolex submariner, I took it and I was just staring at it , same body , same features which eventually I got to see differences, then I opened the back case !
