The lady watch lover

 Few years ago , I got a call from a guy who I didn’t know at that time was into watches big time , he decided to come see me , about some of his watches , I didn’t know he came to test my ability and to know if I recognized good watches .He came with a clone Rolex watch at first. Seeing the watch I was skeptical, my very first time meeting a clone watch , it looked exactly like a real Rolex submariner, I took it and I was just staring at it , same body , same features which eventually I got to see differences, then I opened the back case ! Lo and behold , immediately I said , it looks like they’ve changed your movement, this isn’t the original Rolex movement in here 😄, cause what he said was he took it overseas for servicing. He left pretending to be angry with the person who serviced it last, so I thought 💭 , the following day , he called me and said , “you know watches , I came to test you” and the following week he brought in more watches for servicing, Rolex and Tudor watche...

 It’s my pleasure repairing watches but it’s so tasking repairing some watches , for example would prefer an automatic watch to just have a minor issue , the major issue is stressful and can be tiring , parts are not easy to get and when you get they are on the high side , but the truth is 😃 a watch can’t pass me . I will look at it , and quickly guess the brand even if I’m can’t see it clearly . If I’m not repairing actually , majorly which I’m going into, it is more of reviewing watches , good ones.  Real good ones , a friend said we should think of another page or make the watch consulting thing be major .. thinking about it , it is actually , cause I have revealed more to people who have zero knowledge about watches and they are always thrilled at the end of the day , cause they never  saw watches the way I explained, most of them,  after talking about watches , they want to get watches as investment , you know owning something you can wear and at the same time ...

 About to write type this , I laughed 😃. Here is it , some watches come in for repair and you are like this will be easy to repair , it’s the case of an hublot automatic watch , 2 months ago , where the balance wheel wasn’t functioning well, oh well. That seems to be the hairspring of the balance wheel ,twisted a bit  I should guess, cause the balance wheel rolls for a while and then stops , you shake it it comes again , rolls and stops , thankfully an understanding client ,I  decided to straighten the hairspring.. lo and behold no progress .. 😮‍💨.. Didn’t want to bug my head .. told the client , kindly let me source for a new balance wheel please , here we source for automatic parts , if not seen , then you advise the customer to buy online by giving the specification, if it’s an authentic watch , if it isn’t an authentic watch if it can be easily converted to a quartz movement, then we do it , if not the client will have to wait till we can get the part to work with ...

 Anyone deep into art may observe a good watch actually, watches tell more than time, it says look at a work of art especially automatic watches , I will really not go describing a patek or Jlc watch , I want to bring it down a bit to a lesser watch , like take for example a Sturhling automatic watch . When it comes to repair , a replica automatic watch carries a familiar movement, a China automatic movement to be precise, thinking about it , the Chinese man is able to produce a movement that can either damage easily or last long .
